<p>去年1月,Y同學(xué)經(jīng)由同學(xué)介紹找到了我們,希望趕上19fall入學(xué)的小尾巴申請(qǐng)港三所的計(jì)算機(jī)相關(guān)專業(yè)。對(duì)于港三所的工科專業(yè)而言,<strong>在2月份之后才遞交申請(qǐng)的話,拿到錄取的希望其實(shí)已經(jīng)非常渺茫了</strong>。</p>
<p> </p>
<p>同時(shí),通過(guò)對(duì)當(dāng)年offer發(fā)放情況的分析,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)Y同學(xué)最心儀的<strong>港科大大數(shù)據(jù)專業(yè)的錄取背景多為本科985且成績(jī)?cè)?5分以上的學(xué)生</strong>。這對(duì)于本科211、GPA 3.3(約80分)的Y同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō),無(wú)疑是非常不利的。就港新院校而言,招生官是非??粗貞?yīng)屆申請(qǐng)者的學(xué)術(shù)背景的。但<strong>如果是已經(jīng)有相關(guān)工作經(jīng)歷的往屆生進(jìn)行申請(qǐng),學(xué)校往往會(huì)放寬對(duì)學(xué)術(shù)背景的要求</strong>,而加大對(duì)軟件經(jīng)歷的考核比例?;谶@些考慮,我們和Y同學(xué)進(jìn)行了深入的溝通,<strong>最終達(dá)成了gap一年再進(jìn)行申請(qǐng)的決定</strong>。</p>

<p>盡管多了一年的準(zhǔn)備時(shí)間,我們也絲毫不敢懈怠,緊接著就為Y同學(xué)制定了未來(lái)一年的背景提升方案。</p>
<p> </p>
<p>雖然Y同學(xué)的硬件條件在申請(qǐng)者中不是特別突出,但是他的軟件經(jīng)歷還是非常亮眼的。在校期間,Y同學(xué)十分注重科研項(xiàng)目和競(jìng)賽的積累,參加了包括美賽、校級(jí)自主創(chuàng)新科研項(xiàng)目在內(nèi)的多個(gè)科研、競(jìng)賽項(xiàng)目,也都取得了不錯(cuò)的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。此外,他還利用寒暑假的時(shí)間參加了2段計(jì)算機(jī)、大數(shù)據(jù)相關(guān)的實(shí)習(xí),很好地鍛煉了自己的編程能力。為了幫助Y同學(xué)進(jìn)一步提升他的軟件經(jīng)歷以增強(qiáng)申請(qǐng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力,<strong>我們將背景提升的重心放在了工作經(jīng)歷上。</strong></p>

<p>去年2月份,在Y同學(xué)雅思考試結(jié)束并順利出分后,我們便<strong>陸續(xù)向他推薦了一些合適的大數(shù)據(jù)實(shí)習(xí)和工作招聘信息</strong>。Y同學(xué)的配合度也非常高,在準(zhǔn)備畢業(yè)論文的同時(shí)積極投遞。因此,在答辯結(jié)束后他就得到了在浙江中控的大數(shù)據(jù)分析工程師實(shí)習(xí)工作。在實(shí)習(xí)期間,Y同學(xué)表現(xiàn)突出,<strong>參與了公司大數(shù)據(jù)平臺(tái)研發(fā)項(xiàng)目的部分核心工作,這對(duì)他的港科大大數(shù)據(jù)項(xiàng)目申請(qǐng)來(lái)說(shuō)無(wú)疑是很好的加分項(xiàng)</strong>。</p>

<p>在幫助Y同學(xué)進(jìn)行背景提升的同時(shí),我們的申請(qǐng)準(zhǔn)備工作也在有條不紊地進(jìn)行著。深知畢業(yè)學(xué)子回校辦理材料的艱辛與不易,在6月份Y同學(xué)離校之前,我們便督促他拿到了推薦信,并且辦理完了各項(xiàng)申請(qǐng)所需的材料,為之后的申請(qǐng)減少了很多麻煩。</p>

<p>辦理完材料后,我們便開(kāi)始了文書(shū)準(zhǔn)備工作。在第一版的簡(jiǎn)歷提綱里,Y同學(xué)一下子列出了所有的科研、實(shí)習(xí)經(jīng)歷,簡(jiǎn)歷看起來(lái)有些缺乏重點(diǎn)。其實(shí),<strong>對(duì)于Y同學(xué)這樣科研、實(shí)習(xí)經(jīng)歷豐富的同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō),只需要精選幾條含金量高的經(jīng)歷進(jìn)行詳細(xì)描述就可以了</strong>。而像課程設(shè)計(jì)這樣含金量不高的經(jīng)歷,就可以有選擇地刪去以節(jié)省版面并且提升簡(jiǎn)歷整體的含金量。通過(guò)我們的密切配合,之后的簡(jiǎn)歷和文書(shū)創(chuàng)作也都很快完成了。</p>

<p>9月中旬,在專業(yè)開(kāi)放后不久,我們就為Y同學(xué)遞交了申請(qǐng)。隨之而來(lái)的卻是長(zhǎng)達(dá)5個(gè)月的漫長(zhǎng)等待。在今年的2月份,Y同學(xué)終于等來(lái)了夢(mèng)寐以求的港科大大數(shù)據(jù)科技的offer。</p>

<p>對(duì)于Y同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō),一年的gap期無(wú)疑是漫長(zhǎng)又焦灼的。<strong>但也正是這一年的積累,使他成功彌補(bǔ)了自己的短板,最終拿到了心儀的錄取。</strong>磨刀不誤砍柴工,愿Y同學(xué)接下來(lái)的求學(xué)之路一切順利,早日實(shí)現(xiàn)成為一名大數(shù)據(jù)工程師的理想。</p>
