<section>X同學(xué)的GPA在3.5左右,意向?qū)I(yè)是社會(huì)學(xué)方向,這與她的本科專業(yè)相對(duì)口,因此在專業(yè)定位時(shí),我們結(jié)合學(xué)生的背景,鼓勵(lì)她去沖刺LSE、UCL這樣的“G5”名校,其中<strong>UCL的社科專業(yè)眾多,招生容量大,值得一試</strong>;此外,根據(jù)我們多年的申請(qǐng)經(jīng)驗(yàn)和豐富的案例庫(kù),選擇了愛丁堡社會(huì)研究、曼大社會(huì)學(xué)、港中文社會(huì)學(xué)專業(yè)等作為保底,事實(shí)證明,我們的選擇是正確的。</section>

<section>X同學(xué)與我們簽約已是9月初,我們<strong>加急準(zhǔn)備材料的話,便可以趕上申請(qǐng)的早班車</strong>。在和X同學(xué)的多次交涉中,我們及時(shí)地向她傳達(dá)了我們的申請(qǐng)策略,這也<strong>讓缺少經(jīng)驗(yàn)的她走出誤區(qū),緩解了焦慮</strong>。</section>

<section>首先,大部分剛簽約進(jìn)來的學(xué)生普遍以為<strong>只有先考出一個(gè)好的語言成績(jī)才能申請(qǐng)學(xué)校</strong>。X同學(xué)第一次托??剂?5分,已經(jīng)達(dá)到了港新的申請(qǐng)要求,但她覺得這個(gè)分?jǐn)?shù)沒有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力,希望能等已經(jīng)報(bào)名的9.28或者11.3的托福出分之后再做申請(qǐng),我們告訴她,<strong>這將耽誤申請(qǐng)的最佳時(shí)機(jī)</strong>。實(shí)際上,英國(guó)一貫采用無語言申請(qǐng),根據(jù)以往學(xué)員的案例,<strong>無語言申請(qǐng)也可以拿到很好的錄取</strong>,并且后續(xù)語言成績(jī)提升了也可以補(bǔ)交,因此<strong>申請(qǐng)時(shí)間節(jié)點(diǎn)優(yōu)先于語言成績(jī)</strong>。所以我們建議,我們的文書準(zhǔn)備和X同學(xué)的語言考試、材料提供同步進(jìn)行,等全部材料準(zhǔn)備好后,根據(jù)當(dāng)時(shí)的最佳語言成績(jī)進(jìn)行遞交。這樣做便大大提高了效率,使得一切都在掌握之中。</section>

<section>其次,很多文社科類的同學(xué)<strong>科研項(xiàng)目豐富,但缺乏實(shí)習(xí)經(jīng)歷,不知道能不能匹配目標(biāo)院校的要求</strong>。X同學(xué)<strong>簽約時(shí)申請(qǐng)季已經(jīng)拉開序幕</strong>,在短時(shí)間內(nèi)難以彌補(bǔ)實(shí)習(xí)經(jīng)歷的空缺,此外對(duì)于社科專業(yè)來說,目標(biāo)院校一般更為看重研究能力,因此我們基于她的簡(jiǎn)歷,結(jié)合申請(qǐng)專業(yè)的培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)、課程設(shè)置,重點(diǎn)闡述了“流動(dòng)兒童群體文化及干預(yù)研究”以及北大暑校課程中等相關(guān)性大的項(xiàng)目,體現(xiàn)出她對(duì)于研究生階段的學(xué)習(xí)熱情、扎實(shí)的學(xué)科基礎(chǔ)和研究能力。</section>

<section>辦理材料階段,由于X同學(xué)相比正常4年制的同學(xué)來說,是<strong>提前一年畢業(yè),所以在材料辦理上有些特殊</strong>(她是2017屆入學(xué)的,到申請(qǐng)時(shí)才入讀2年),需要讓本科院校對(duì)她目前狀態(tài)進(jìn)行說明,以便申請(qǐng)?jiān)盒D軌蚪邮?。X同學(xué)開具了在讀證明和學(xué)業(yè)證明(相當(dāng)于預(yù)畢業(yè)證明),但這兩份證明顯示的畢業(yè)時(shí)間有差異,在讀證明是2021畢業(yè),預(yù)畢業(yè)證明是2020年畢業(yè)。由于X同學(xué)的特殊情況,我們也沒有像往常一樣,讓她根據(jù)常規(guī)材料準(zhǔn)備在讀證明,而是<strong>果斷讓她先遞交了預(yù)畢業(yè)證明</strong>,一是對(duì)她的學(xué)歷情況闡述更明確,二是X同學(xué)用兩年的時(shí)間修完三年的學(xué)分,并且維持了一個(gè)好的成績(jī),更能體現(xiàn)他的學(xué)習(xí)能力和學(xué)習(xí)效率。</section>

<section>在與X同學(xué)的默契配合下,我們很快準(zhǔn)備好文書,抓緊遞交了申請(qǐng),X同學(xué)最終迎來了<strong>UCL的城市研究錄取。</strong>希望X同學(xué)在研究生階段繼續(xù)發(fā)光發(fā)熱,取得更好的成績(jī)。</section>
